During your visit for an MK IV Hydration treatment, a registered nurse (RN) will conduct a comprehensive assessment. This includes vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry), and a review of your medical history, current medications, and any allergies.
After ensuring that an IV treatment is safe and appropriate for you, the nurse will then discuss your current health concerns or treatment goals with you and will recommend specific IV cocktails based on your needs. Once you've agreed on the treatment plan, the nurse will prepare your IV bag to begin the infusion via a soft flexible catheter inserted either into your hand or your arm.
The duration of an IV treatment can vary depending on individual factors. While some individuals may complete a full 1000mL infusion in about 35 minutes, others may require closer to an hour. To ensure you have ample time for your treatment, we recommend that you set aside at least 2 hours to receive a MK IV Hydration Infusion, and 30 minutes for Injections
Our experienced medical professionals are skilled at making the process as comfortable as possible. Needle insertion is typically a minor discomfort, often described as a quick 'pinch'.
For those who are seriously nervous about the needle insertion, we offer a topical anesthetic to numb the area (for a small additional fee). Once the IV is in place, many patients find the infusion itself to be a soothing and refreshing experience.
We have medicine and vitamins for anti-headache/body ache, nausea, upset stomach/heartburn, B complex vitamins, amino acids, B-12, a liver detox vitamin, magnesium, thiamine, taurine, vitamin C, and vitamin D.
With the exception of our admin team, our staff consists entirely of board-certified or state-licensed medical professionals. A registered nurse (RN) will administer your treatment, and a board-certified physician oversees all treatment protocols.
We feel comfortable with our customers getting the MK IV treatment every other week. We are always able to individually gauge your body’s response to treatments and will accept referrals from your primary care physician if they feel you should be getting treatments more often.
